1998 Honda Prelude Base

I purchased my Prelude sometime during April 2006.  It was a replacement vehicle as I needed another car.  My beloved 300ZX (2+2 NA) was totaled (reason discussed in it's own section) and I needed another source of transportation.  I came across the Prelude in an Auto Trader ad.  With the amount of money that I had it was a decent deal.  The mileage on the car was definitely high but I decided to go for it since a Honda. I purchased the car with 162,000 miles on it.  Definitely risky and something I don't recommend for the faint.

Approximately 6 months later after it's purchase, the engine started throwing a CEL. It came out being a misfire in cylinders 1 & 3. Uh oh! I eventually gathered the courage to do a compression test, which did not come out pretty. Cylinder 3 had only 90 PSI!  Next step was a leak down test where I found out the problem was a bent valve.

So began my long and cumbersome quest on rebuilding my cylinder head.
